Polymer Clay Artist Ko Ruapehu toku maunga I started creating hei tiki after attending a 'kids tiki-making day' at the Auckland Art Gallery. I love anything to do with hei tiki and I have now set up 'Te Pono Designs'. I have other designs that you can see on my site www.tepono.com The name for my website comes from the first part of my eldest daughter's name and the second part of my youngest daughter's name (Te Waiora and Anahera Pono). The name 'te pono' means to be honest, faithful and true. The tiki above were inspired by shapes synonymous with the carving traditions in Taranaki and Wanganui. I made these during the winter of 2006. Piki Te Ora! Vicki Morehu If you wish to purchase any items created by Vicki you can contact her via Email
