Ella Risebrow
Doll Artist

Visionary Artist Ella Risebrow grew with the Royal National Park for her backyard , in a little village called 'Waterfall' south of Sydney, Australia.
Learning art from her father and always fascinated with the fairy realm, Ella was inspired by the fairies and her baby daughter in 1984 to create little sculptures of them.
Starting from scratch they showed her how to sculpt the bodies out of Fimo and how to sew the fabric around the wire wings. It was as though they were lining up to have their portraits created to show the world how they appear.
Ella graduated from Southern Cross University with a B.A. in Visual Arts in 1993.

Ellafings watch and flutter their wings
as Ella handmakes their sculptures and things
Elflings, Fairies, Sylphs and sprites,
Mermaids, Mermits and Coralites.
From their hearts great love they bring,
that all Earthlings in harmony may sing.

Ellafings, Fantasy, fairy, elfling, mermaid, hybrid, Portrait and 'dreamspirit dolls' etc, are all uniquely hand sculpted originals by Ella, no moulds are used.
Exhibited in Austria with outlets in Japan, Chicago and of course Ella's home town Lennox Head and Byron Bay Australia.
They have been described as "SOUL MEDICINE", inspiring the creative imagination of both young and old.
See Ella's website www.ellarisebrow.com for Art workshops, Visionary Art and 'Magical Fairytale Portraits', Or you can email Ella if you have further enquiries.
